Exciting news about the Marple group!
The Marple Secret Singers group has been asking about moving from fortnightly to weekly classes for some time now and I just haven’t had the capacity to do it. Well then I realised that what I needed was help and I found it in the form of Carol Donaldson! Carol has been a choir leader for 13yrs and currently leads Calder Valley Voices and Wrexham community choir (among other things). Class Start Dates 2014
The new term of classes is about to begin. It is a great time to join (or to return if you have missed a bit!) as I have prepared a bunch of new songs for us to learn and enjoy. I look forward to seeing existing members again and to welcoming new friends not yet met. The Big Sing- not long now!
Our wonderful Christmas-time Big Sing will be held on Thursdsay 19th December 7.30- 11ish and, as last year, it will be at Rosegrove Unity Working Men’s Club Rossendale Rd, Burnley BB11 5DL There is plenty of parking space, a bar and plenty of room for us to have a great sing! All members are welcome and you are also invited to bring partners, friends, potential members with you. Entrance is £5 on the door and includes a free prize draw. Christmas Big Sing
Our Christmas Big Sing is planned for Thursday 19th December and will , once again be held at Rosegrove Unity Working Men’s Club on Accrington Road in Burnley. It was a very successful venue and evening last year and I hope all members of all the groups and their guests will come along and have a fabulous time.

We are on holiday!
Secret Singers is on its summer break at the moment but all the classes will resume in the week commencing Sept 9th. New members will be very welcome and is it an excellent time to join (or rejoin) as there will be a new program of songs. I look forward to seeing you then and can’t wait to share with you the songs I have come up with. Have a great summer and keep singing!
What a Fabulous Big Sing!
Didn’t we have a wonderful time at the Big Sing on Saturday! Burwain Sailing Club was a wonderful venue, it was warm and fine enough to do some singing outside- even if there was a bit of competition from music from across the lake. I have had some lovely comments about the evening which I include here and also some photos. Angela Dewey, Marple group sent some recordings which are mp4 format and I will try to get those on too. Summer Big Sing 2013
We will have the Summer Big Sing at Burwain Sailing Club once again this year. It will be on 13th July at 7.30pm All our members (and resting members) are welcome and may bring a guest if they wish. (It’s a lovely way to introduce a friend to Secret Singers). Everyone should bring something to eat to share and there will be a bar. It will cost a £2 entrance fee which includes a free prize draw.
