Dear Singing Friends,
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
I hope we will have a good season of joyful singing ahead of us!

It is my intention to restart classes on Tuesday 11th Jan 2022 for Marple and East Lancs and Wednesday 12th for Todmorden, unless any new restrictions come into force before then.

I know that the infection rate has gone up massively but people who have had their 3 jabs are well protected from serious and life threatening disease, so they say, and also if we all look after each other by not coming to class if we have any symptoms or a positive LFT I think it is worth a go.

You obviously need to weigh things up for yourself and your own circumstances and decide what is best for you.

The other measures we are taking are…..
We have lovely big airy rooms and can use the CO2 monitor to check ‘freshness levels’ ( this worked really well last term)
We make contactless payments
Sanitizer is available on entry
We only touch that which is our own wherever possible ( bring your own drink)
We wear a mask on entry and exit.                                                                                                                           We give other members plenty of space.
I also plan to add one more thing to our Covid protection protocol and that is to remove the social break in the middle of class.
I hope this will be a temporary arrangement as having a chat is part of the fun but probably the most dangerous part. We will therefore finish slightly earlier but still have the same amount of singing time. Of course people can socialise after class if they wish to -outside the building. You will still have the opportunity to sit down and have a drink during class time.

I hope that these measures will give you confidence to come and sing. We have plenty of room for more singers too so new members are very welcome though I suggest you check in here or call Olwyn on 07891471404 on the day to be sure class has not been cancelled. existing members will get an email as soon as I have done my LFT on the  morning of class
I look forward to seeing you very soon and am now going off to decide on our program…… so many songs to choose from….
