The Bethany Children’s choir came to our Thursday night rehearsal at Nelson and they we a joy. They sang like angels and behaved like them too. We were treated to some songs they use in their daily prayers which they sang with eyes closed- so beautiful! and then a song which they had learned with British sign language for the deaf which was also lovely. We then did our song swap and the Secret Singers should definitely be proud of their Siyahambe but the children beat us hands down with their fluid rhythmic movements in their English language version- which we could not match but had fun trying!

It was delightful to then have the opportunity to chat to them too. They did so well having already visited 4 schools that day and the youngest being only 7. They are a credit to the Bethany Children’s Village team, healthy happy and engaging, it was a delight to meet them and sing with them.
