A very Happy New Year to you all! The choirs all start up again this week and I am looking forward to seeing all the old familiar faces again and to welcoming new members too. There have been a number enquiries from those wishes to start singing with us and maybe we will get some surprise additions too. This morning the Secret Singers Choir will be singing in Charter Walk Shopping Centre and Marks and Spencer’s in Burnley. We will be bringing a little Christmas cheer to shoppers with the Christmas songs that we have been learning this term. Singers from  the Nelson, Read, Todmorden and Carer’s Chorus (Accrington) will join together to form the choir and there will be an attempt to call up some reindeer with our reindeer calling song! We will be in M&S from 11am and collecting for their adopted charity- Teenage Cancer Trust

Unfortunately due to adverse weather conditions the council has cancelled the Marple Christmas Cracker. It is such a shame that Secret Singers won’t therefore get to sing but we have been invited to sing at next year’s event. My sympathy goes to the organisers who must be very disappointed after all their hard preparation work.
