We had a fantastic day Singing for Water in Albert Sq Manchester yesterday .The weather was a bit challenging and with a spell of heavy downpour resulting in us all (300!) squashing in to a back corridor of the town hall for a fabulous rehearsal in a most amazing acoustic- that was a magical bonus. Spring Break

Wonderful as it is singing with all you lovely people each week I am planning to take a week off during the spring bank holiday week so there will be no class in Marple or Read on Tuesday 31st May Todmorden on Wednesday 1st June Neslon on Thursday 2nd June however, all classes will be back on the following week as usual and I look forward to seeing you all  there (and your friends, neighbours, cousins etc too of course!)

Although the school holidays are different all over the place, the Secret Singers Easter break has now finished and all groups are open again this week. It is a great time to join or rejoin as we are about to get cracking on some new songs. We will be learning some songs which will be sung  in Albert Square, Manchester on 12th June at the Sing for Water North event. My Dear Singers, we have made some wonderful music over these last weeks as this term’s songs have been coming together. This year’s Sing for Water North has now been launched! Sing for Water is a wonderful massed choir event which takes place in Albert Sq in Manchester on 12th June. Choirs and individual singers from across the North learn the program of 6 songs and come together to perform them and to raise money for WaterAid. WaterAid tell us that for £15 they can provide fresh water and sanitation for a person- FOR LIFE! Therefore each participant donates £15 and changes a life by having a lovely time singing. We …
